Actuarial science is perfect any student with a strong mathematics background who wants to learn how to model the uncertainty of events and to assess and manage risk.

What You'll Learn and Do

Thoroughly prepare for your actuarial exams.

Students completing the actuarial science minor will gain the quantitative and business skills needed to take two of the preliminary actuarial exams (Probability and Financial Mathematics) which are often required to enter the profession.

Learn how to fight uncertainty with knowledge.

Students completing this minor will gain the necessary foundational knowledge in mathematics, probability, economics and finance to assess, model, and manage the risk and uncertainty of events.
