This Christmas, the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality will embark on two Advent programs to support reflection, peace, prayer, and celebration leading up to Christmas Day.

Registration is now open to all members of the campus community.

2024 Advent Reflections: A Podcast Series

Unwind from the busy holiday season through the Murphy Center’s annual Advent Reflections podcast series: a daily five-minute podcast with a scripture reading and guided reflection by a new host each day. This podcast has become an annual tradition, enriching the community’s celebration of the birth of Jesus at Christmas. Beginning the first Sunday of Advent, Dec. 1, the podcast provides an accessible way to deepen one’s Advent journey and grow in faith while preparing for the celebration of Christ’s birth.

Rev. John Savard, S.J., ’78, interim director of Campus Ministry, will lead the 2024 Advent Reflections Series. The podcast series is free and open to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆcommunity. Faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆPrep are welcome to register and participate.

Women’s Advent Retreat: “Tidings of Comfort and Joy”

In addition to the podcast series, the Murphy Center is also sponsoring an in-person retreat for the women in our Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆcommunity during Advent. Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Dolan School of Business Event Hall for an evening of fellowship and reflection surrounding the theme of “Tidings of Comfort and Joy.” The night will start with cocktails and snacks at 6 p.m., followed by our Advent Retreat from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Directions to campus can be found on our website.
