Two respected public voices will offer their political insights at an Open VISIONS Forum lecture titled “Info, Insights, Inquiring Questions: The Presidential Election 2024.”
On Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., Alyssa Farah Griffin and Molly Jong-Fast will co-lead an Open VISIONS Forum conversation about the upcoming November 2024 presidential election. This OVF lecture will take place at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts and is presented in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences’ Common Ground Series and the Department of Politics.
Alyssa Farah Griffin was a White House communications director for former President Donald Trump, and a former press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence and for the United States Department of Defense. She is known for having been the youngest Pentagon press secretary in history.
Molly Jong-Fast is a past board member of Arena, the largest democratic campaign training organization in the country, and is a current political analyst for MSNBC, a special correspondent for Vanity Fair, and host of the podcast “Fast Politics with Molly Jong-Fast.” She is the author of two novels, The Social Climber’s Handbook and Normal Girl, and a memoir, Girl [Maladjusted].
With the well-informed and highly respected voices of Jong-Fast and Griffin leading the way, a lively political conversation — only two weeks before Election Day ’24 — is anticipated. This timely OVF lecture promises to provide audience members with acute, razor-sharp political-social insights into the presidential campaigns of former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as invaluable perspectives on the potential election outcomes and broader implications for the future of American politics.
