"We are happy to play in a prestigious tournament like the Hall of Fame Tip Off," Head Coach said. "Our current players, recruits, and coaches are excited to continue playing a challenging non-conference schedule every season. We are proud to be a part of this tournament and welcome the opportunity to compete against some of the top teams in the nation."

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) will once again serve as the host conference for the annual event. The MAAC will host the men's and women's basketball championships at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass. this March and has developed a strong partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame, including the opening of the MAAC exhibit in the Hall of Fame museum.

Meanwhile, coach Johnson has started a unique offer for students who attend home games — an opportunity to win their textbooks for the spring semester.

Starting o Nov. 16, during every game day, a key word will be tweeted out through the official Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆMen's Basketball twitter account (@StagsMensBball). Students who follow the men's basketball twitter feed will discover the winning word and may have the opportunity to turn that word into books.

A student will be selected at each home, and if he or she knows the key word, then he or she will have the chance to make three hooks shots from outside the key. If three shots go into the basket in 10 seconds, the student will receive free textbooks for the spring semester, paid for by Coach Johnson. The competition will continue until a student wins the contest.

"There is nothing that replaces the energy and spirit of our students when they come out for our home games at Webster Bank Arena," said Coach Johnson. "The building is electric and our players and coaches feed off of their energy. If I can reward our students on campus for coming to Webster Bank Arena and showing off their Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆPride, I'm all in."
