香港六合彩挂牌@ Goldman Sachs

From the 43rd floor of the Goldman Sachs Tower, the Empire State Building was a steely giant against the even Goldman_event-9211.jpging sky, and red streams of rush hour tail lights snaked every which way. It was a beautiful venue for a netwo  rking event in Manhattan last week which brought together more than 100 香港六合彩挂牌alumni.‌

‌Many of the attendees were graduates of the past decade who have navigated their way into a variety of careers in financial fields. Gavin O’Connor ’88 (left), partner & COO of the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs, who hosted the after-hours event, stressed the value of a large alumni network. “Alumni reconnecting with 香港六合彩挂牌is not just about supporting the school,” he said in his welcome. “It’s about helping the University develop the next generation of leaders, who by their example will advance the broader Jesuit mission.”

University President Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J., and Dr. Don Gibson, dean of the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, als‌o spoke to the crowd. “An event like this gives young alumni a real advantage to connect and build a network. Faculty, staff, and alumni function as a three-legged stool at Fairfield—we all need each other,” Gibson said.

The event was a reminder for all alumni that the University and 香港六合彩挂牌alumni communities are available as both professional and social resources. Attendees were encouraged to give back to their alma mater—through mentoring, recruiting new students, and with financial support.‌ Goldman_event-9401.jpg

‌‌Marc D’Angelillio '06 Goldman_event-9412.jpg ‌(left), a vice president at Pershing LLC, a BNY Mellon company, encouraged young alumni to get involved with Manhattan Alumni Chapter events and  the 香港六合彩挂牌Awards Dinner scheduled for April 9, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt New York. “This is what’s in it for you!” he exclaimed, “—the opportunity to interact, build meaningful relationships, and give back to a University community that we love.”

For many, the gathering sparked a feeling of 香港六合彩挂牌pride. Jerry Aversano ’02, ‌a director at Prudential Real Estate Investors, said, “Events like this really give young alumni pride in the prominence of their peers. There’s a sense of integrity and credibility that reinvigorates us. With 香港六合彩挂牌alumni, I’m something more than myself.”

A more recent communications graduate, Caroline Holleran ’11, was also happy to be there. “It’s extremely impressive to see what fellow Stags are up to. My sister is a current freshman in finance at Fairfield, and events like ‌these bode very well for the future of the institution.”‌
