"Hear My Song," the film formerly called "Boychoir," which stars Dustin Hoffman and was filmed in large part in and around Bellarmine Hall in 2014 will be broadcast on CBS on April 16, at 8 p.m.

"An all鈥搒tar cast featuring Oscar winners Dustin Hoffman ( Kramer vs. Kramer, Rain Man ) and Kathy Bates ( Misery, American Horror Story ) 鈥 joined by Eddie Izzard ( Ocean's Thirteen, The Riches ), Josh Lucas ( A Beautiful Mind, The Mysteries of Laura ), Kevin McHale ( Glee, True Blood ) and Oscar-nominated Debra Winger ( Terms of Endearment, An Officer and a Gentleman ) 鈥 star in Hear My Song , a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie premiering on CBS Saturday, April 16 at 8pm ET/PT.

Directed by Francois Girard ( The Red Violin ), Hear My Song introduces Garrett Wareing as Stet, a troubled but talented boy who ultimately achieves success beyond his wildest dreams.

When young Stet arrives at the boarding school that's home to the country's leading boys choir, he's lonely, shunned by the others. He's intimidated by the choir's demanding conductor (Hoffman), but nurtured by the school's principal (Bates) and a young teacher (McHale).

Stet's had a challenging childhood, but he's been blessed with a rare talent. He finally finds people who believe in him, who help him find his voice, conquer his fears and realize his dreams," says the official trailer for the film.

In February of 2014, director Girard and Hoffman in a special presentation, prior to filming scenes in and around Bellarmine Hall.

The New York Post gave the film four stars, saying: "This film, which also boasts a subplot about a lead singer (Joe West) who takes ill before a big concert in New Haven, Conn., could easily have become a schmaltzy variation on 鈥淲hiplash.鈥 But it鈥檚 not, thanks to astringent direction by Fran莽ois Girard (鈥淭he Red Violin鈥欌), an excellent cast and heavenly young voices."
