Summer Scholars Program Back in Session!
香港六合彩挂牌’s Summer Scholars program is back! The two-week, residential experience is for talented juniors and seniors in high school who want to get a taste for what college is really like. This year, the program will run from July 10-23, 2016. Students in the Summer Scholars Program will take one three-credit course that will meet Monday through Friday for three hours a day.
The courses available are from a range of disciplines and taught by dedicated faculty. Students may choose one of the following courses*:
- Biology: Identity and the Human Genome
- Communication: Family Communication
- Economics: Introduction to Microeconomics
- English: Creative Writing
- English: Fairy Tales
- Music: History & Development of Rock
- Philosophy: Introduction to Philosophy
- Studio Art : Introduction to Drawing
This program enhances the students experience inside and outside the classroom. Students will live on campus with 24-hour support provided by staff, Resident Assistants and Public Safety officers. In addition to courses, The Office of Residence Life will schedule a variety of events for students to partake in including:
- Field trips off campus to local beaches and the city
- Karaoke socials
- Dodge ball tournaments
- Movie nights
- Video game contest
