Celebrating Community at the Annual Jesuit Christmas Party

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Jesuits graciously hosted their annual Community Christmas and Holiday Party this past Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Jesuit Community Center on campus. All University employees were invited to share in the festivities. Co-workers exchanged laughs and were able to converse before the holidays all while enjoying some cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Rev. Michael F. Tunney, S.J., rector of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Jesuit Community said, “The Christmas and holiday seasons gives us all a chance to gather and celebrate.  It was great to host the University community in our Jesuit community, catch up with one another, raise a glass, and say “Thank you” for so many things!  God bless us all going forward.”

Marketing and Communications, Design and Digitial Print Senior Designer, Ed Ross spoke to the occasion, “I’ve been attending the Jesuit Christmas party for the past three or so years, and have always enjoyed it. It’s great to catch up with colleagues and meet new people as well. It’s also nice to see that there is still a vibrant Jesuit presence here at the University, and that they open their home to our campus community to host this event.”

As the cornerstone of the University, the Jesuits here continue a spiritual journey that began with St. Ignatius of Loyola more than 450 years ago. The Jesuits have been living and serving in Fairfield, Connecticut for more than half a century. More information on our Jesuit history .
