Dolan School's First Week of Service, March 29 - April 2

Open to all Dolan School students, faculty and staff, the Dolan School of Business will host its first Week of Service from March 29 鈥 April 2. 鈥淭he goal of the week is to provide Dolan School undergraduates with tangible opportunities to assist and support others,鈥 said Dawn DeBiase, assistant dean of the Dolan School.

鈥淒ean Gibson conceptualized the Week of Service last summer and Meredith McAloon, assistant director of Undergraduate Programs, Chris Puttock, operations assistant, Sarah Bollinger, director of Internships and Professional Development and I collaborated intentionally with campus and community partners, resulting in a 鈥渕enu鈥 of service options to provide ample opportunities for our students to serve as 鈥榤en and women for others,鈥 explained DeBiase.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in myriad service opportunities such as helping out at the United Congregational Church, Bridgeport鈥檚 food pantry, attending the Bridgeport Youth Summit and volunteering at Caroline House, a local organization dedicated to enabling women and children to reach their full potential through education in English language and life skills.

Dolan School students Nina Giacchi 鈥16 and Brianna聽Tancredi 鈥17 will be serving as two of the student leaders at the events. 鈥淚 have had a very blessed life and in my four years at 香港六合彩挂牌 the Jesuit values have instilled in me the importance of giving back to others,鈥 explained Nina. Brianna shared, 鈥渢he event I am most excited for is the Careers for the Common Good discussion being held on Tuesday, March 29 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This event is a great opportunity to show students how they can still work and thrive in the business profession while also holding a service oriented position and giving back to their community.鈥

Dolan School undergraduates who are interested in participating in the Week of Service activities should register through OrgSync.
