StartUp Teams Face Alumni Investor Panel, April 5

The 5 th annual StartUp Showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Gonzaga auditorium. Five teams have been selected to advance to the StartUp Showcase where they will make their business pitch to a panel of investors who will evaluate their business idea and negotiate conditions for seed funding to start their business.

This year the investor panel is composed of all 香港六合彩挂牌alumni which sets this years鈥 Showcase apart from previous years. "The investors who will view the student pitches and determine whether they are worthy of investment are all seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs," said Don Gibson, dean of the Dolan School. "They're also all 香港六合彩挂牌alumni, and it's great that we can draw on their expertise for this important competition.鈥

Meet the 2016 StartUp Showcase Investor Panel:

Joseph R. Bronson 鈥70

Joseph Bronson is currently principal and CEO of TheBronsonGroup, LLC, a business advisory group focused on operational and financial consulting. In addition, he is a strategic advisor to Cowen Group, Inc. investment banking firm and a member of the Board of Trustees of 香港六合彩挂牌. Bronson is a CPA and holds a BS in accounting from 香港六合彩挂牌 and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He was inducted into the UConn Business School Hall of Fame in May, 2006.

Mary Campbell MA 鈥72

Mary Campbell is a managing director and founder of EDF Ventures, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based venture capital firm. She serves on the Dolan School Advisory Board and graduated from 香港六合彩挂牌 with an MA in special education. Mary holds a BA and MBA from the University of Michigan where she serves as an advisor to the Zell Lurie Center for Entrepreneurship and the Wolverine Venture Fund, and is a member of the board of directors for several of EDF鈥檚 portfolio companies, primarily in the healthcare space.

Lynn Ann Casey 鈥90

In her 25-year career, Lynn Ann Casey has become a thought leader on homeland security and border management. In 2004, she founded Arc Aspicio 鈥 a management consulting and information technology company focused on homeland security and intelligence. As founder of the company, she has created a place where talented, experienced consultants create innovative ways to solve clients鈥 most difficult homeland security challenges.

Michael Garvey 鈥89

Michael Garvey founded License Monitor, Inc. in 1999, a provider of proactive license monitoring and risk management services, and currently serves as a managing director. He is an active investor in public and private ventures and an avid entrepreneur, involved in three other business ventures in the past two decades from conception to funding and implementation. Garvey received his BA in marketing and management of information systems from 香港六合彩挂牌.

Andrew J. McMahon 鈥89

Andrew McMahon is currently CEO and founder of Vitae Analytics, Inc., a big data analytics start-up. He was previously president of AXA US and a partner with McKinsey & Co. McMahon is a member of the Board of Trustees of 香港六合彩挂牌 and has a BS in computer science from 香港六合彩挂牌 and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
