Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆwould like to thank all alumni, parents, and friends who showed their support for the University and students on #GivingTuesday, November 28 th .

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ proudly partnered with #GivingTuesday—a global day of giving fueled by social media. The #GivingTuesday campaign connects diverse groups of individuals and communities around the world to celebrate and encourage giving of time, goods, dollars, and acts of kindness. “This is why we continue to partner with Giving Tuesday,” explained William Knapp, senior director of Annual Giving, “so we can connect with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆalumni, parents, and friends who share a love for Stag country and giving back.”

Stags showed their Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆpride on Facebook and Instagram—liking and sharing content to increase awareness about the impact of the traditional Jesuit education that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆprovides students, and by making gifts to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆFund in support of advancing the institution as the modern Jesuit Catholic University. “Thank you to all who showed their support for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆon Giving Tuesday,” exclaimed Mr. Knapp. “We couldn’t be happier about the enthusiastic response we received throughout the day.”

While #GivingTuesday serves as an opportunity for community members to come together to make a difference through giving, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆtook a slightly different approach through social media by displaying messages of gratitude for past and current support. “While our University’s continual progress is greatly impacted by the support provided by alumni, parents, and friends, we didn’t want the day to solely be about asking for gifts,” Mr. Knapp clarified. “We wanted part of our Giving Tuesday campaign to be about us giving thanks to our wonderful supporters whose loyalty runs deep for our University’s, and our students’, growth.”

If any alumni, parents, and friends missed the opportunity to make a gift during #GivingTuesday, donations, of any size, can still be made in support of propelling Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆforward.
