Need a Study Break? De-Stress With These Activities at the DiMenna-Nyselius Library

Students will enjoy visits with therapy dogs, a craft and cookie buffet, and more -- starting Tuesday, December 11.

It's hard to believe that the fall semester is drawing to a close. With finals week quickly approaching, the DiMenna-Nyselius Library is committed to creating a supportive atmosphere to help students cope with the stress of final exams. Finals week activities will serve as an outlet for students to take a quick study break in order to relax and refocus.

Students can expect crowd favorites to be back, including visits with therapy dogs and special appearances from the University’s emotional support dog, Dakota, as well as President Nemec’s puppy, Monty. The Zen Den, co-sponsored with Counseling and Psychological Services, will be back, offering students the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts projects, listen to music, and enjoy calming essential oils. Other fun events include a de-stress station with a variety of activities including coloring, Legos, and puzzles, as well as holiday bingo with exciting prizes to be won.

The University’s first reading day, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 will officially begin finals events and mark the start of a 24-hour schedule at the library. for a complete list of activities, events, and services to be offered at the University this finals period.
