Interviewing for a job is an art and it takes skill to become comfortable conversing with a potential employer. Knowing the proper way to greet the interviewer and answer questions effectively can be stressful, and practice is key. To assist Dolan students with an interest in marketing careers, the Dolan School Marketing Club, in collaboration with faculty and the Dolan School Professional Development Series (PDS), will host 15 employers as part of Marketing Mock Interviews on February 26 and 27, and March 1 .

Victoria Marano ’18 who participated in Marketing Mock Interviews last year, shared, “When I met with ESPN, I felt that receiving feedback from a real employer was truly beneficial. I learned the key points I needed to work on and it helped me prepare for interviews in the future. I strongly believe that every student should participate in mock interviews.”

Interviews will proceed as a real job interview, beginning with introductions, a review of the student’s resume, and questions from the employer. The interview will last about twenty minutes and students will have the opportunity to receive real-time feedback about how the interview went, where they excelled, and where they have room for improvement.

According to Greg Becker, senior director, national accounts at Johnson & Johnson, “Mock interviews give students the opportunity to refine how they represent their accomplishments and attributes so they stand out to prospective employers.” Greg is just one of the employers who will be interviewing students. “As a mock interviewer, I am really excited to share my experiences so that students are as prepared as they can be when they go on a formal interview,” said Jennifer Lowe ’13, manager, co-brand business development at Mastercard, who will also be participating in Mock Interviews this year.

Students interested in participating in Marketing Mock Interviews can sign up and view the full interview schedule on OrgSync . This event satisfies a PDS level three event .

The Dolan School would like to thank for following employers who will be participating in Marketing Mock Interviews this year: TracyLocke, Outside TV, The Estee Lauder Companies, Mastercard, Madison Square Garden, J&J, Icon International, Inc.
