New Residence Hall Grand Opening: September 5

Join us for food, music, and fun at the blessing and official opening of our new residence hall, 42 Langguth Hall, home of the Ignatian Leadership Residential College, on Wednesday September 5 at 4 p.m.

The grand opening ceremony will be held at the Quad entrance to the new facility. The University community will be be treated to a barbeque, live music, and a golden ticket challenge. Members of the community will be able to tour the building during the event.

Offering the comforts of home, the new 63,169 square foot facility features a spacious and light-filled atrium facing The Quad, expansive meeting spaces, student lounges, and suite-style living arrangements for over 200 sophomore students.

“42 Langguth Hall is the perfect space for students to discover how to lead meaningful, authentic and purposeful lives,” stated Dean of Students and Associate Vice President Karen Donoghue ‘03. “The lounges, the classroom, and suites are state-of-the-art and beautiful!”

The new residence hall is home to the Ignatian Leadership Residential College program. The program provides a distinct opportunity for students to examine different dimensions of their lives from a variety of perspectives and leadership roles inside and outside of the classroom. Students reflect on some of life’s biggest questions as they explore how strengths, challenges, and worldviews impact their decision-making process. While gaining an awareness of their passions and identity, students practice and enhance leadership skills that call them towards the service of a greater good within society.
