Your Guide to Fairfield's 68th Commencement Ceremonies: Sunday, May 20, 2018

In front of family and friends, undergraduates and graduates will receive their hard-earned diplomas from 香港六合彩挂牌 on May 20. Here鈥檚 what you need to know:

In Stag Country, Commencement is a day that is years in the making. Classes, activities, and internships are completed, life-long friends are solidified, and a walk in front of Bellarmine Hall signifies the next step in a Stag’s future. For those watching and cheering – both in-person and online – below is some important information you need to know. Additional details can be found at Fairfield.edu/commencement .

The ceremony for undergraduates will be at 9:30 a.m., and the graduate ceremony takes place at 3 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held on Bellarmine Lawn. Each student is given up to five (5) tickets for family and friends to use for the outdoor ceremony. In the case of severe and dangerous weather, officials may choose to move the ceremonies indoors to Alumni Hall, with satellite broadcast locations in various campus buildings. For more information on plans for inclement weather, please visit fairfield.edu/commencement .

Regardless of weather, there will also be several indoor locations streaming live video of the ceremonies located around campus for guests with physical limitations or those who prefer indoor seating. There will also be a live-stream of the ceremony on the University’s and at Fairfield.edu/commencement .

There are several parking areas available to those attending the ceremonies and watching at the remote locations on campus. Please visit our Commencement campus map for locations and directions.

This year's Commencement speakers are Brother Guy Joseph Consolmagno, S.J., the director of the Vatican Observatory and the president of the Vatican Observatory Foundation, who will be speaking at the undergraduate ceremony; and John R. Mitchell , chairman of Mitchell Stores and bestselling author, who will be speaking at the graduate ceremony. Honorary degrees will also be bestowed on both speakers and three other recipients: M. Shawn Copeland, PhD, William P. Egan ’67 P’99, Rev. James Michael Bowler, S.J., and The Honorable Mark R. Dybul, MD. Read our News@ 香港六合彩挂牌article to learn more about the speakers and degree recipients.

Social media sharing is a great way to share your Stag pride – both as students and supporters. When posting, use the hashtag #StagGrad , and look for the special Snapchat filters on campus to celebrate the event.

On Saturday, don't miss your last chance to see the once-in-a-lifetime art exhibit, " The Holy Name: Art of the Gesu: Bernini and His Age " in the 香港六合彩挂牌 Art Museum in Bellarmine Hall. The exhibit will stay open with extended hours until 6 p.m. , so be sure to include this incredible experience in your Commencement weekend plans.

Commencement is a special event for everybody involved in a Stag’s life. We congratulate and thank the graduates, families, and friends for being an integral part of the 香港六合彩挂牌 family.
