On March 28, 2019, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆAwards Dinner, Fairfield’s flagship fundraising event for scholarship, will celebrate inclusive excellence at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Since 1988, this annual event has been a true celebration of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆand has raised more than $18 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other endowed scholarships.

“I first attended the dinner in Spring 2015 at the encouragement of one of my Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆmentors, who has been attending for more than a decade," said young alumnus Dominic Paolino ’14, a 2019 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆAwards Dinner Committee Member. "He highlighted the evening as not only a wonderful opportunity to recognize distinguished alumni and network with fellow Stags, but also as an opportunity to support the Multicultural Scholarship Fund.”

Last year, more than 500 alumni, parents, students, and friends of the University came together for the Awards Dinner. They reunited with their Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆfamily, forged new connections, honored outstanding members of the University community, and supported scholarship to create possibilities for future generations of Stags.

Continuing to recognize professional achievement, outstanding leadership, and volunteer commitment to Fairfield, this year’s Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆAwards Dinner will honor:

Sheila Kearney Davidson ’83

: Alumni Professional Achievement Award

Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. ’73Alumni Service Award

Once the evening’s program and dinner have concluded, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Alumni Association will host an after-party where alumnus comedian of NBC's Last Comic Standing fame will perform. “A big part of comedy is shared experiences, so it’ll be fun to talk about memories from our Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆdays. I may name names,” DeVito said about what guests can expect from his stand-up routine.
