New Databases and Resources at the DiMenna-Nyselius Library

Students now have access to new database and resource subscriptions.

The DiMenna-Nyselius Library Collection Development and Management Committee is pleased to announce the following new database and resource subscriptions now available to students starting this fall:

(AVON-Alexander Street Press) Includes a variety of video material available with curricular relevance: documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, demonstrations, and raw footage. Also includes thousands of award-winning films, including Academy®, Emmy®, and Peabody® winners.

(Gale) A rich resource for debaters and includes pro/con viewpoints, reference articles, interactive maps, infographics, and more. Periodical content covers current events, news and commentary, economics, environmental issues, political science, among others.

(OUP) The first continuously updated online collaboration between the National Association of Social Workers (NASW Press) and Oxford University Press (OUP). More than 400 overview articles on key topics ranging from international issues to ethical standards, to offer students, scholars, and practitioners a trusted foundation for a lifetime of work and research. New articles and revisions to existing articles added regularly.

(APA) A one-stop resource for information on diagnosis, treatment, guidelines, the latest research, and breaking news from the field. From a single location, you can access all APA journals (after a 12-month embargo), Psychiatric News, the DSM Library, and bestselling textbooks, as well as APA Practice Guidelines, and continuing medical education.

(EBSCO) Produced by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), this database provides indexing and abstracts for journals dealing with all aspects of the social work field, including theory and practice, areas of service and social issues and problems.

(EBSCO) Created by a multi-specialty editorial team, Social Work Reference Center is a turnkey information resource for social workers and mental health professionals. It covers a wide array of topics such as adolescent health, aging, end-of-life care, clinical social work, and diversity.

Taylor and Francis Social Work Journal Collection This package contains 40 Social Work-related journal titles and has been activated under the e-collection name: Taylor & Francis Mental Health & Social Care: Social Work Collection.
