Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆAthletics welcomed 119 golfers to Brooklawn Country Club.

A sold-out field of 119 golfers hit the links at Brooklawn Country Club on Monday, Oct. 19 for the 2020 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Athletics Golf Outing. The annual event – held under adjusted format in compliance with Covid-19 protocols – featured Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆalumni, friends, parents, coaches, and administration on the course to benefit the University’s 480 varsity student-athletes.

“To have a sold-out field under our current circumstances speaks to the passion and commitment that those who support all of our athletic programs have for our mission and vision,” noted Director of Athletics Paul Schlickmann. “Our hosts at Brooklawn Country Club did a tremendous job preparing the course and clubhouse for a safe and enjoyable day for all in attendance. We are thankful for their continued partnership with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆAthletics.”

The event raised more than $70,000 to benefit the primary objective of maximizing the athletic and educational experience of all Stags student-athletes through holistic development. Revenue generated will establish opportunities for leadership development, guest speakers, campus ministry retreats, career development workshops, staff enhancements, Covid-19 safety protocol, and facility needs.

“Thank you to all of our guests for helping to raise more than $70,000 in support of our student-athletes,” said Nick Wormley, senior associate athletic director for Development. “[Your] contribution means more than ever as we continue to provide a championship experience to our student-athletes during these difficult times."
