From wizardry and circus skills to acting, dancing, and singing: performing arts programs for kids take center stage at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts this summer.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ’s Quick Center invites artsy kids to take part in an eclectic range of performing arts camps and courses over their summer vacation. Missoula Children’s Theatre:
No experience necessary! Now in its 33rd year, the Missoula Children’s Theatre summer camp program offers an on-stage role for any students in grades 1 through 12 who are interested in spending a week immersed in theatre arts. Each fun-filled week prepares young actors to take part in a full-scale Friday evening production on the Quick Center stage — complete with costumes, songs, and dance! is now open for the following weeks/performances:

  • Pinocchio: July 8–12
  • Robin Hood: July 15–19
  • Jack and the Beanstalk: July 22–26
  • Gulliver’s Travels: July 29 – August 2
  • The Wizard of Oz: August 5–9
  • The Pied Piper: August 12–16

A variety of speaking and ensemble roles are offered each week. No advance preparation is needed. The camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9:15 a.m. until 2 p.m. Rehearsals include instruction in acting, dancing, music, and art. On Friday, students arrive to the theatre for dress rehearsal at 3:30 p.m. and stay through showtime. Families and friends are invited to attend the 7:30 p.m. Friday performance. Extra, Extra! Extend the fun of summer camp with additional enrichment opportunities. Available after camp ends Monday through Thursday, Extra, Extra! students will receive two extra hours (from 2 to 4 p.m.) of theatre-based enrichment with Missoula directors, working in small groups on collaborative projects.
