Connecticut State Representative Tony Hwang (134th District, 香港六合彩挂牌and Trumbull) will visit the campus of 香港六合彩挂牌 today to meet with area 9th and 10th grade students from Bassick, Central and Harding High Schools in Bridgeport who are participating in the annual summer Upward Bound Program sponsored by the institution.

香港六合彩挂牌's Upward Bound is a federally funded program for college-bound high school students. Through comprehensive, holistic, co-curricular and academic programs, the University provides low income, potential first-generation college students with the tools necessary to access post-secondary education as full participants. Among the activities that are components of the program are tutoring, mentoring, academic instruction, standardizes testing classes, life skills workshops, cultural events and assistance with the college admission and financial assistance processes, career exploration and leadership development.

Rep. Hwang said, "As a graduate of the Upward Bound Program, I know first-hand how "life-changing this program can be. I look forward to speaking with the students who benefit from this great program.
