New York Times bestselling author to speak at 香港六合彩挂牌

Image: J Dupre Author, teacher and arts advocate Judith Dupr茅 will deliver "Opening Your Eyes to This Place" at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 10 in the Diffley Board Room, Bellarmine Hall, 香港六合彩挂牌. The talk, which will be followed by a reception with Dupr茅, is free and open to the public.

Dupr茅's illustrated lecture will examine the ways a thoughtfully designed building, street or city can foster interaction, create a sense of community and invite contact with the transcendent. She will consider a broad range of structures and discuss beauty, architecture and God.

The lecture is part of the University's two-year focus on and is sponsored by The Humanities Institute of the College of Arts and Sciences, the studio art and art history programs and the Bellarmine Museum of Art.

Dupr茅 works in the areas of architecture and theology, examining the dynamic relationship between the built environment and a person's quality of life. A New York Times bestselling author, she has written several books that examine the ways that human hearts and structural ingenuity respond to life's fundamental questions, including "Full of Grace: Encountering Mary in Faith, Art & Life," "Monuments: America's History in Art & Memory." In addition to her books, Dupr茅 has worked on large-scale urban projects, including the new I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis and the World Financial Center at Battery Park City in New聽York.

She graduated from Brown University and later studied at the Open Atelier of Design and Architecture in Manhattan. She holds a master of divinity degree from Yale Divinity School.
