The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆDolan Graduate Professional Development Series is a comprehensive program designed to give students a competitive edge in the workforce. The program is optional, but highly encouraged for all graduate business students. Through the program, students will focus on the following professional development areas:

Students will learn how to refresh their resume so it reflects their graduate coursework, accomplishments, and skills.Students will submit their resume for review on Life@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆand are encouraged to watch Resume Makeover on LinkedIn Learning prior to seeking review.

Students will develop and submit their LinkedIn profiles for review on Life@Fairfield. Profiles must include the following:

  • Profile picture
  • Customized URL
  • Headline
  • Summary
  • Education
  • Experience

Complete one of the following LinkedIn Learning courses to help strengthen your essential/soft skills.

Graduate students must complete a short survey on Life@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆfollowing the course to receive credit.

Professional Development - Special Programs

Today's graduate student must be prepared with skills to last a lifetime of job searches and career shifts. Dolan’s close partnerships with nationally recognized companies and successful alumni will open the door to top notch learning opportunities and lifelong connections. Whether students are looking to start their career, advance their career within their current organization, or pivot to another career, Dolan provides students with the necessary skills and resources needed to succeed.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆDolan has partnered with BetterManager to offer personalized leadership coaching for MBA and other graduate students. Aligning with our newly revised, highly customizable MBA curriculum, this leadership coaching program, via a competitive application process, will prepare students for their next phase of professional and career growth.

BetterManager leadership coaching supports Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆDolan’s mission of developing ethical leaders and well-rounded persons by offering four personalized coaching sessions. The content of each session will complement the services offered by the Dolan Career Development Center and the Dolan Professional Development Series.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆDolan has partnered with both The Hartford and Synchrony, two Fortune 500 companies, to develop co-op programs for graduate students, particularly those interested in the business analytics fields. These opportunities immerse Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆgraduate students in a real-life work environment, working with employees as part of a team. The Programs offer flexible remote positions ranging from 35 – 40 hours per week during a 6 – 9 month engagement.
