Donated Textbooks

The DiMenna-Nyselius Library's Student Donated Textbook Collection includes traditional textbooks and other required class texts. Each semester the collection grows thanks to undergraduate and graduate students who “pay it forward” by donating their gently used course texts.

How do I know if the Library has the books I need for my classes? How do I access them?
Search our to determine if we have what you need, or contact a librarian for assistance. Books in this collection are part of "Course Reserves" and can be requested and checked out with your StagCard. Students can consult the materials for up to 4 hours in the building to do their assigned course readings or use our scanners or photocopier.

How do I donate the books I used for my classes?
Please fill out a donation form (copies available at the Library) and drop off with your donation to a staff member at the Library Services & Information Desk (anytime the Library is open). We will accept textbooks, paperback novels, etc. that were used for any Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ classes.

Why does the Library have this collection?
This collection offers an opportunity for students to have access to the resources they need to be successful in their coursework. The Student Donated Textbook Collection was started in 2019, at the suggestion of the Student Library Advisory Board. Board members shared that many class texts were cost prohibitive and therefore their peers did not obtain them. In addition, they noticed that students oftentimes would discard their books at the end of the semester.
