Accreditations

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ’s School of Education and Human Development is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) through December 2028. The School also holds full program approval status through March 2029 from the Connecticut State Board of Education.

In 2015, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Professions (CACREP) awarded the two professional programs within the Department of Counselor Education an eight-year accreditation with no stipulations. These two Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ programs were the first of their kind in Connecticut to receive this accreditation. The Marriage and Family Therapy Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE). Additionally, the Social Work Program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education through 2029.

Fairfield's MSW program has been awarded initial accreditation through 2029 by CSWE. In its review, the Commission found that the program fully complies with all accreditation standards and educational policies and granted accreditation for eight years.
