With a dominant 17-4 victory over Siena this past Sunday on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Women’s Lacrosse has won its fifth consecutive MAAC Championship. The Stags will visit eighth-seeded and #9 nationally ranked Loyola in the NCAA Championship First Round on Friday, May 12 at 3 p.m. in Baltimore. are on sale now, and the action will also be broadcast live on .
The Stags' MAAC-record five straight tournament titles have come in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. All five of those championship squads were guided by Head Coach Laura Field, who was named MAAC Coach of the Year for the first time in her career this spring. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆpreviously raised the MAAC trophy in 2001, 2009 and 2015.
The Stags enter the NCAA postseason with a record of 14-4, including a 7-1 mark in the MAAC regular season. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆalso earned wins in the non-conference season over Vermont, Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, Hofstra, and Wagner. Leading the Stags are MAAC Offensive Player of the Year Olivia Doody ’23 and MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Caroline Mangan ’22. Mangan was also named the MAAC Championship MVP for the second time in her career.
